Rabbi Brackman with the Congressman On Friday morning (March 24, 2006) director of Judaism in the Foothills Rabbi Levi Brackman met with Congressman and possible 2008 presidential candidate Tom Tancredo. He thanked the congressman for attending Judaism in the Foothills’ public Chanukah lighting event in Jefferson County last December and presented him with a silver Menorah in appreciation.
Rabbi Brackman also endeavored to enlist the support of the congressman for the fledgling Movement for a Tolerant World, a new international grassroots organization – of which he is a founder member – based here and in Pakistan that promotes a realistic ideology that aims to bring about an end to the acceptance of terrorism in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the world. "Congressman Tancredo has shown friendship towards the Jewish Community by attending our Menorah lighting event and I wanted to thank him for that" said Rabbi Brackman. "He was also enthusiastic about supporting and helping the Movement for a Tolerant World and we look forward to further contact with his office on this," Rabbi Brackman added. |
