In an effort to help grow a traditional Jewish community in picturesque Evergreen, Colorado. Through our effort, and with your help, we can create a unique opportunity, unlike anything that exists: Jewish life in a small, affordable mountain town.
Though Project Evergreen is affiliated with Judaism in the Foothills, it is not an organization or a legal entity of any kind. Project Evergreen was instead created by a group of people just looking for a great place to live, without having to compromise on their traditional or orthodox Jewish values. The goal of Project Evergreen is to bring a larger traditional Jewish population to the area and to expand the local amenities available to the community. As the Jewish community grows in the area, Project Evergreen looks forward to bringing in an Eruv, a larger selection of Kosher food in local supermarkets, and eventually the creation of Jewish day schools and Kosher restaurants. Achieving this will take the help of the community, and its participation in the Evergreen Project.
If you’re interested in Evergreen as a place to live, or if you are an advocate of spreading traditional Jewish life beyond the confines of dense, overpriced city living, or if the idea just intrigues you - go to the Project Evergreen Facebook page for updates and information.
